Poet's Moon Cafe Open Mike Poetry

This exhibit of works by Jehane Rucquoi will run through June 28. Artist reception and talk will be held on Saturday, July 19 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. Jehane Rucquoi was born in Belgium. She lived for many years in and around New York City. For the past 25 years, she has been living on the West Coast, with frequent returns to Europe and inspirational visits to Japan and China. In 2006-2007, she resided and taught art in Beijing, China. She also taught at Cranbrook School of Art in Bloomfield Hills, MI and at various colleges in Pennsylvania, California and Nevada. Jehane's paintings are in private collections in New York, Los Angeles, Boston, Brussels and Las Vegas, where they have been exhibited in both solo and group shows. Commissioned murals are also located in these cities, in private homes and businesses. She attended Cooper Union in New York City and received her MFA through Dominican University of Illinois from their location in Florence, Italy. Jehane holds a BFA from the College of New Rochelle in New York and was awarded a study grant for the Belgian Academy in Rome, where she lived for several years. The Center and Captain's Galley is open during scheduled events and every Saturday from 2:00 to 6:00 pm. The exhibit may also be seen by appointment Monday through Friday from 10:00 to 6:00 pm.
